Sustainable development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Havana&Co. is determined to promote the transition towards the sustainable development of its processes and products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actions have long been implemented to concretely reduce waste and pollution resulting from our processes. The creation and design activities of the Havana&Co. collections are powered by renewable energy sources thanks to the installation of a photovoltaic system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focus extends to packaging, whose paper or cellulose-derived elements are FSC certified to protect biodiversity and our planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent years we wanted to take a further step by founding HavanaECO, a conscious, genderless and 100% Made in Puglia brand that carefully searches for raw materials and processes with a reduced environmental impact in a slow fashion perspective. Circularity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reuse of fabric scraps, in a circular economy perspective, is currently the subject of a dedicated study that is being defined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In particular, production waste is used in upcycling projects that involve young students with the aim of raising awareness among new generations on the topic of applied sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the entire supply chain, virgin plastics have been entirely replaced by 100% post-consumer recycled plastics together with the introduction of an innovative plastic material, Green PE, 93% derived from renewable sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transparent communication<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this path towards sustainable development, the unity of purpose shared with suppliers and stakeholders becomes fundamental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The brand and the group are working, with the scientific support of an industrial doctorate from UNIBA, to draw up a sustainability report to correctly and transparently communicate all the commitments and actions aimed at sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, we believe that technological innovation is important as a support for transparent communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The brand has worked to implement the Digital Product Passport (DPP), an intelligent labeling system that, through the scanning of a QR code, returns information on the garment, such as composition, fit, various and geographical information on the supply chain and sustainability KPIs. This voluntary disclosure tool is accompanied by a section with advice for the best care of the garment and the possibility of reusing it to extend its life cycle as much as possible. It is also possible for the end consumer to give their feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this way we are able to establish a relationship of trust with end users, inducing them to reflect and collecting their opinions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
